Scarce 1946 Montreal Royals Roy Partlow Parade Sportive Photo - Dodgers' Farm

Alongside Jackie Robinson and one of the first African American players signed by the Brooklyn Dodgers organization, Roy Partlow spent time with the Montreal Royals during the historic 1946 season and is featured here on a Parade Sportive picture.  The Parade Sportive photos were part of a promotion through Paul Stuart's radio program in Montreal in the 1940s and involved athletes from numerous sports. They're thin paper affairs with some different sizes, but generally are about 5" by 8-1/2" (this one is approx. 5" by 9"), and as you can see, Partlow (he was a pitcher in the Negro Leagues and also played some outfield) is erroneously indentified as "Portlow".  That's a facsimile signature, with a few light bends also to mention.
